I help mission-driven organizations build digital tools that are safe, clear, and as principled as the work they do.
Whether you need a website from scratch, a smarter intake process, help figuring out what data you should and shouldn’t be collecting, or just someone to finally get your digital systems under control—this is the kind of work I do. Below is a closer look at the specific problems I can help you solve.
What I can help you with.
Nonprofit Website Design
Your website doesn't reflect who you are or what you do.
Maybe it's outdated, confusing to navigate, or just doesn't feel like your organization anymore. I design and build websites that are clear, accessible, and honest about what you offer—so the people who need you can find what they're looking for without friction. I work primarily in Squarespace and Webflow, both chosen deliberately for their security posture and because your team can actually manage them without me once the project is done.
Accessibility Audit & Remediation (WCAG 2.2)
Your site works for some people but not others.
If your intake forms are overwhelming, your resource library is hard to search, or your site breaks on older phones—those aren't just usability problems, they're equity problems. I audit your existing site against WCAG 2.2 standards, identify where people are getting stuck, and redesign around those barriers. Accessibility is built in from the start, not added at the end.
Digital Privacy Review
You're not sure what data you're collecting or why.
Many organizations collect more information than they need without realizing it—and that creates real risk for the communities they serve. I review your digital tools with a focus on data minimization, surveillance risk, and trauma-informed design: what you're collecting, how it's stored, what your forms are implicitly communicating, and where your community might be exposed. You'll come away with a clear picture of your risk and concrete steps to reduce it.
Digital Strategy & Content Architecture
Your site and systems have gotten harder to manage than they should be.
You started with something scrappy and it worked—until it didn't. Maybe your content is sprawling and hard to find, your systems don't talk to each other, or your team can't figure out where anything lives. I help organizations step back, clarify what they actually need, restructure their content and internal systems, and map a realistic path forward—before spending money on a redesign that solves the wrong problem.
CMS & UX Training for Advocacy Teams
Your team has new tools but no one really knows how to use them.
New software is only useful if people actually use it. I'm also a professor, and I love teaching. I offer hands-on training and workshops built around how your organization works—whether that's getting comfortable with your CMS, learning to read your analytics, understanding user experience principles, or getting a handle on digital privacy basics. Sessions are practical and specific to your team's actual setup, not generic walkthroughs.
Ongoing Design Support (Retainer)
You need ongoing design support without a full-time hire.
Not every organization needs a designer every day, but most need one more than once a year. I offer retainer arrangements for organizations that want a consistent design partner they can call on—for updates, new pages, graphics, brand materials, training check-ins, or whatever comes up—without the overhead of a full-time hire.
How engagements work.
Project-Based
Scoped work with a defined beginning and end. Most projects include a discovery phase, design and iteration, and a handoff with documentation so your team can manage things independently.
Quarterly Support
A quarterly allotment of hours for ongoing support. A good fit for organizations with recurring needs that don't require a full project scope every time. Learn more about Quarterly Support →
I use sliding scale pricing and offer reduced rates for nonprofits and smaller organizations. I’d rather find a way to make a project work than turn away an org doing meaningful work because of budget constraints, so I’m always open to a conversation about what’s feasible.
Who I work with.
I work with human rights and community organizations—reproductive health providers, domestic violence shelters, LGBTQ+ support organizations, legal aid clinics, community resource hubs, and similar mission-driven groups. My practice is explicitly feminist and pro-LGBTQ+, and I'm selective about the partnerships I take on.
I don't work with Big Tech companies or organizations whose values conflict with the communities I serve.
If you're not sure whether we'd be a good fit, reach out anyway. I'd rather have a short conversation than have you guess.
